Where does Dr. Phillips do deliveries?

Dr. Phillips regularly performs child deliveries primarily at Wellington Regional Hospital and also Palm West Hospital.

What is a Certified Nurse Midwife?

A Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is an advanced practice provider trained in both nursing and midwifery. CNMs specialize in women’s health, pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.

Can I choose midwifery care and still deliver in a hospital?

Absolutely. Our midwifery team supports natural, low-intervention births while maintaining access to full medical resources in a hospital setting.

Do you offer birth control and reproductive counseling?

We provide a full range of family planning services, including birth control prescriptions, IUD placement, fertility counseling, and more.

What is a CNM? (Certified Nurse-Midwife)

a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who specializes in providing comprehensive healthcare services to women, newborns, and families. CNMs are registered nurses who have completed a graduate-level midwifery program and passed a national certification exam. They provide a wide range of services, including primary care for women, family planning, prenatal care, labor and delivery support, postpartum care, and more.

What is Doula?

A doula is a non-medical professional who provides guidance and support to individuals and families during significant health-related experiences, most notably during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Doulas do not provide medical care but rather offer continuous emotional, physical, and informational support.
